Jake Cody wins EPT France

The PokerStars.com European Poker Tour (EPT) in Deauville, France is won by a largely unknown 21-year-old poker pro named Jake Cody. He defeated ‘Timex McDonald’, former WSOP Main Event champion Peter Eastgate and Internet Poker Genie Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier in the league. He defeated a total of 767 players including many famous poker experts. Cody is from the UK and  made his game playing online poker, this is the first time he played in an EPT event, a clearly delighted Cody won the first place with a prize of 730.000 pounds for his excellent victory. At the final table, East Gate was pushed back to 8th place, which continues his dubious record of never winning an EPT trophy, while “Timex” did slightly better, but was defeated in third place. Cody went heads-up against Teodor Caraba and took just under half an hour conclude the tournament. The next stop of the EPT is from 16 February to 21 February  in Copenhagen, Denmark.
