Carlos Mortensen has added another title to his rep-sheet last Wednesday, by winning the WPT Hollywood Poker Open in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. This has proved himself as one of the best poker players in the world. It is the third WPT title Mortensen won over four final table appearances, and earns him $393,820 in prize money. This win, also ties him with Gus Hansen for the most WPT titles and made him surpass Daniel Negreanu as the WPT’s biggest money winner with more than $5.75 million in career earnings in the WPT. Mortensen has over $9.6 million in total career earnings, he also has two World Series of Poker bracelets and remains the only player in the history of poker to have won both a WSOP Main Event and a WPT World Championship. The 37-year-old Spanish Full Tilt pro defeated a field of 144 poker players to finally be one of the last six at the final table. Mortensen began the final table with a healthy chip lead. Mortensen took an impressive lead when he flopped a street against Mustafa’s top pair. The two men went all-in and Mortensen won with his street. It’s just like poker online.
